Navigli of Milan
The Navigli are a system of navigable canals that originally linked Milan with some rivers around the city. Now mostly covered, the waterfronts of the surviving canals have turned into one of the most popular areas for the local nightlife. Starting from the Darsena, located at the southwestern border of the city center, the roads running to the south along the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese are filled with bars and restaurants.

Porta Ticinese
Porta Ticinese is one of the former city gates of Milan once part of the Spanish walls of the city. Located at the southwestern end of the city center, it was built in the 16th century and later demolished. The gate was rebuilt in the shape of a Neoclassical triumphal arch in the 19th century.

Chiaravalle Abbey
