Caravaggio
Caravaggio is a town located in the plains of the Province of Bergamo, near Treviglio. A town of ancient origins, it has been one of the main centers in the area for centuries. Today it is best known for its sanctuary and for painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, best known simply as Caravaggio, whose family was from this town.
Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Fonte
The Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Fonte (Santuario di Santa Maria del Fonte) is a religious complex located in the countryside southwest of Caravaggio. The sanctuary was founded on the site of a Marian apparition that happened in 1432. The current structure was erected starting in the 16th century, with some later additions. The sanctuary features rich Baroque decorations and numerous frescoes and other artworks.

Church of Santi Fermo e Rustico
The Church of Santi Fermo e Rustico is a Gothic church erected in Caravaggio during the Late Middle Ages. The interiors of the church feature many adorned chapels, and numerous frescoes and funerary monuments.

Treviglio
Treviglio is a city located in the plain southwest of Bergamo, and the second most populous town in the province. Founded in the Early Middle Ages, Treviglio was ruled by Milan for most of its history, and now it is an important agricultural and industrial center.
Basilica of San Martino e Santa Maria Assunta
The Basilica of San Martino e Santa Maria Assunta is the main religious site in Treviglio. The current Gothic structure was built over a previous Romanesque church starting in the 15th century. The church houses various artworks, most notably a polyptych by Bernardo Zenale and Bernardino Butinone, made in 1485 and considered among the greatest works of the Lombard Renaissance.

Pagazzano is a small town east of Treviglio in the Province of Bergamo, best known for its castle.
Visconti Castle of Pagazzano
The Visconti Castle of Pagazzano (Castello Visconteo di Pagazzano) was originally built as a fortification in the Late Middle Ages, and was later reworked during the 15th century. The structure is well preserved and surrounded by a moat, and its interiors host some ancient frescoes.

Capriate San Gervasio
Capriate San Gervasio is a town located along the Adda river in the Province of Bergamo. It is best known for the village of Crespi d’Adda, which forms part of the municipality of Capriate San Gervasio.
Crespi d’Adda
Crespi d’Adda is a small village located along the Adda river south of Capriate San Gervasio. It is one of the best preserved examples of 19th-century factory town, and as such it has been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The town was built in the late 19th century and early 20th century around a cotton mill, surrounded by the houses of the workers and various public services. The village later declined and most of the buildings were sold to privates starting in the 1970s.

Cavernago is a small town in the countryside southeast of Bergamo, best known for the historic castle located nearby.
Malpaga Castle
The Malpaga Castle is a historic castle located near Cavernago. The castle was erected during the 15th century over a previous fortification, and was later reworked. The Malpaga Castle is known for housing various richly frescoed halls, painted by Renaissance artist Il Romanino. The walls of the internal courtyard of the castle also feature frescoes by Il Romanino.
